Simulated shell hit on the front mantle of a WW2 Stug - Military
The arena at the War & Peace show never fails to surprise year on year. This year the owner of an incredibly rare WW2 Stug agreed to a simulated shell hit on its front mantle by allowing the resident pyro expert to ignite petrol just in front of the vehicle to achieve the desired effect. This particular vehicle has traceable WW2 provenance and has appeared in publications showing it in action during WW2 with the Afrika Corps. Incredibly another extremely rare tank suffered an even worse fate in the afternoon as part of the WW2 battle re-enactment performance.
